I don’t know anything about photography but I want to participate in an expedition, can I?

Of course. In our expeditions, we are aware that there might be some who are beginners in photography and we are available to teach some basic aspects. However, to fully take advantage of the expedition, we recommend that you come knowing how to use your photographic equipment.

What photographic equipment do I need to bring along on the expedition?

In the Recommendations section on each of the expedition fact sheets, you can see what the recommended equipment is. If you are still not sure whether your equipment is sufficient, write to viajes@natphoto.cl indicating the equipment you possess. Nonetheless, many of the naturalists that travel with us do so without any photographic equipment and enjoy the expeditions enormously; they just go to observe and know more about nature.

When does registration for the expeditions close?

Registration closes once the maximum number of participants is reached. Usually this occurs many months before the expedition. We recommend you book early so as not to miss the expedition of interest.

Is there an age limit for going on the expedition?

Yes, you must be over 18. If adults want to participate with kids under 18, we’ll evaluate the possibility case by case.

What are the payment options?

270 days prior to the expedition: 30% deposit of the total value of the deposit is required.
180 days prior to the expedition: 30% deposit of the total value of the deposit is required.
90 days prior to the expedition: 40% deposit of the total value of the deposit is required.
